Summer WF 2007 Limited Edition Figure

What is WF? WF is stand for Wonder Festival, The Tokyo Wonder Festival is an annual event to display and sell "garage kits", which are sculptures that usually replicate anime and game characters, but also often recreate popular mecha/sci-fi characters and creatures. Saimoe Tournament 2007 2nd Preliminary Group 03 Result update

Recently, another Saimoe tournament has started, that was the Korea Saimoe Tournament 2007, if you interested you can go here, it voting system is more friendly + have image to view.

Now already group 03 of 2nd preliminary, still got few more day then will go to the main tournament. My pick for this group is Ichinose Nono(Hitohira) and Tomoyo(Tsubasa Chronicle Series). This is the 2nd time to vote them because i vote them in 1st preliminary before.

Result is out, my pick 1 in top 16 and 1 out of top 16, T_T. I didn't saw the Cortic from Shinkyoku was in the list so didnt vote her, she also my favourite character ^^, when she in small form is quite moe to me. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time)

Today i just finish watching this awesome anime film - The Girl Who Leapt Through Time or 時をかける少女(Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo/TokiKake). This anime is very nice, in term of story, quality and as well as song/music, although some part is quite boring. But when the story go on, it just getting and getting interesting. The story is same as the title, a girl name Makoto who can travel times(go back to past). But of course when undo something, you need to sacrifice something too, when you undo something for yourself, you might be hurting someone else. (Makoto consider quite cute also ^^).


It DVD is sell on 20 April 2007, it sold over 110 thousand copy in 2 month, its alot for anime film, that why you can think how good of this anime film is. I wish to buy it Limited Edition DVD as well, but it sold out on Amazon Japan, need to find a way to bought it. I can't tell much on the story because i very weak in writting and summary, so i borrow the short story summary from wikipedia. If you haven't wacth it, you must go and find and watch it.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女, Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo, also known as TokiKake) is a Japanese anime film produced by the animation studio Madhouse and distributed through Kadokawa Herald Pictures, first released in theatres in Japan on July 15, 2006. The film was later released on DVD on April 20, 2007 in Japan in regular and limited editions. At this time it is unknown as to whether or not the film will be released on DVD in other regions. A manga story, set as a prelude to the film, was serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Shounen Ace manga magazine between April 26, 2006 and June 26, 2006; the chapters were later collected into a single bound volume which went on sale on July 26, 2006.

Tsutsui Yasutaka's novel, Toki o Kakeru Shoujo (unofficial translation: The Little Girl Who Conquered Time) is the basis of the film, but the film is not a movie version of the book. Instead, the film is set as a continuation of the book in the same setting some twenty years later. Tsutsui Yasutaka praised the film as being "a true second-generation" of his book at the Tokyo International Anime Fair on March 24, 2006.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was released to a small number of theaters in Japan, taking in approximately 300 million yen. It took alot of award as well, like Best Animated Film in the ANIMA'T category at the thirty-ninth Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia. It won the Animation Grand Award, given to the year's most entertaining animated film, at the prestigious sixty-first Annual Mainichi Film Awards. It was also awarded the first annual Animation of the Year prize at the thirtieth Japan Academy Prize. It was nominated for, but did not win, the twenty-seventh Japan SF Grand Prize. It received the grand prize in the animation division in the Japan Media Arts Plaza in 2006. At the sixth annual Tokyo International Anime Fair, which opened on March 22, 2007, TokiKake was recognized as "Animation of the Year."It won the Special Distinction for Feature Film at France's thirty-first Annecy International Animated Film Festival on June 16, 2007.

Synopsis:

Makoto Konno, a girl attending high school in Tokyo's shitamachi, one day she gains the power when in the science lab, and she first time to go back in time and re-do things (the time-leap) when she gets involved in an accident at a train crossing one day.

A little bewildered with her new powers at first, Makoto uses them extravagantly to avoid being tardy and to get perfect grades on tests. However, things began to turn bad as she discovers how her actions can adversely affect others. Along the way, Makoto's aunt, Kazuko Yoshiyama, offers some advice to her niece, with the hint that she herself had done something similar in the past. (Kazuko is the protaganist of the novel, The Little Girl Who Conquered Time.)

First time to use the power when she on the accident, she can't stop her bike and fall onto the train lane and the train is coming. After that she activate and return before the accident. And she realise she is leap time, after that she tell her auntie Kazuko.



This is where the Chiaki tell Makoto he will wait her in the future, and Makoto also promise she will be there and run there(The boy, Chiaki is come from the future and the time leap also from him). And at last screenshot, Makoto look to the sky, maybe she waiting the future? who know?

Saimoe Tournament 2007 Group 11 Result update

Now is the group 11 turn, not many my favourite character in this group. The battle of Group 10 is crazy, the highest is 913 votes(+ from no4 chase until no1),=.=", group 10 break alot of record so far ...let see what group can beat the number of votes, but im sure group 11 wont hard to break the record. My picks of the group 11 is Hiiragi Matsuri(Lucky Star), Ogata Matake(Shakugan no Shana Series), Hasegawa Sora(Ah My Goddess Sorezore no Tsubasa) and Misaka Kaori(Kanon).

Today is the group 10 tournament, i finally can take the code for voting which from my friends, he help me vote 1. Very fast, is the group 9 battle. Group 9 have my favourite character, Takamachi Nanoha and Kawasumi Mai , especially is Nanoha, she is my super favourite character ~ . Totally pick 3 today, Takamachi Nanoha(Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS), Kawasumi Mai(Kanon) and Ayase Yue(Negima!?). Hope Nanoha will be the no1 in the group 9 and with a very high votes.
Current ranking and votes for group 9 is out, 1st place :) - Takamachi Nanoha, 2nd place, Kawasumi Mai. Nanoha gambateh~ all the way and win it !!! Final result annouce tonite, now still "battle~ing".

Result is out, the ranking is not much diffrent, 3 of my picks also in top8, 1st,2nd and 5th. Nanoha win with a high vote(so far the highest vote i think), so powerful, really is white devil ~ ^^. Both Feito(group 7) and Nanoha also win with high votes, nice ~ !. And also the Tsukimura Suzuka also in top 8, it appear in anime awhile only, really impressive. Let the see the result below.

Bon Odori Festival (Updated)

What is Bon odori? Bon Odori is an event held during Obon. It is celebrated as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel toward one's ancestors. Its a festival, i dont talk much on it, if you want to know more can go to the link :).

Tomorow, there will be a Bon odori event held in Shan Alam, Malaysia, im going as well. To enjoy the art and dance of Bon Odori. After that i will post some picture here.

Just come back from Bon Odori, i very tired now, the atmosphere there is just nice, the people there is many, is "many", few hundred people dance together ! No regret for going !!! I stop here 1st because I very tire, tomorow will update some picture of the event.

Here some of the picture i took that day, some technical problem so late abit. Due to some technical issue, the picture i took not very nice, i will go improve my skill in near future >.<. During the day, it totally have 3 round of Culture dance. The Dance really really nice ^^. Although has pass 2 days, but now i still feel awesome, next year sure going again.
